WSSU Rams take down the Livingstone Bears in a great matchup at Bowen Grey Stadium for homecoming game

The Winston-Salem State Rams gave fans much to cheer about in their Homecoming game, defeating the Livingstone Blue Bears with a dominating offensive performance.

Quarterback Daylin Lee led the way with a composed and confident performance, spreading the ball to several targets and keeping the Blue Bears' defense guessing. The Rams' relentless ground game, however, was the standout of the afternoon, setting the tone from the first drive.

Running backs JaQuan Kelly and Timothy Ruff II combined for over 275 rushing yards and three scores, busting through tackles and wearing down the Blue Bears' defense all game.

"Our offensive line set the tone early," Lee explained after the game.  "When we saw the push we were receiving, we felt we could dominate up front.  Coach encouraged us to be aggressive, and that is exactly what we did.

Following the win, head coach Robert Massey praised his team's physicality and focus.  "We wanted to come out and control the line of scrimmage  and that's exactly what our guys did," Massey told ESPN. "They played with passion, discipline, and pride for their university.  "You couldn't ask for a better Homecoming performance."

With the win, the Rams continue to gain momentum heading into the season's closing stretch, inspiring fans and confirming their championship mindset.
