The rams win in Volleyball as in a 3-0 sweep against Johnson C Smith
WSSU Volleyball took on Johnson C Smith on October 9th for one of their last home games of the regular season. Rivalries like the Rams and Bulls, or the Eagles and the Aggies, and more HBCU classics bring tradition to our campuses and evolve to help keep our students engaged and, on their toes, to support the school pride they love so much.
Kalyn Cuthbertson Labero of the team says, “We have this type of sisterhood where if you mess with one you mess with all.” Finishing with a perfect set match at 3-0, having the Rams prepared for every contingency being thrown at them, WSSU Volleyball prioritizes the idea that team ball needs to be played to build a championship team. “We're just trying to make sure we work on routine and mindset.
We're just going to keep moving forward, and play as much disciplined volleyball as we can.” stated coach Christa Brown, With so much opportunity in store for the future, the Rams aim to keep their heads high, and serve higher, as they push to win their CIAA tournament games in the late fall.
